About Lovitt Motors
Experience, Expertise and Care
Mark Lovitt is a Master Technician with more than 30 years of experience in Seattle’s Puget Sound area. His dedication to excellence and integrity makes him one of the best in his field. Mark Lovitt, owner and CEO, began his career in Seattle’s Puget Sound area in 1977. In 1988, he was hired at Strictly BMW Independent Service, in Bellevue, Washington. He left there in 1992 and worked at several shops on Seattle’s eastside until 2000. It was then, that Strictly BMW’s Ron Newell, contacted Mark about a new venture: Strictly Team Racing.
Mark was hired as crew chief for Strictly Team Racing. Four BMW 325 racecars were designed and prepared for the 2000 race season. These cars were very successful. Ron won ITS in the 2000 conference. During the off-season, Ron’s E36 was converted to compete in three 2001 Speedvision races.
Sadly, after that season, the "dot com bust" greatly reduced the race car client business. Mark left Strictly Team Racing to find other work.
During a brief stint at Ferrari of Seattle and another independent BMW shop, BMW racers began to call. Mark slowly began building up a successful performance racing business. This includes conference BMW's and an opportunity to build and crew a Corvette in the Grand AM Rolex series.
In 2007 Lovitt Motors became a full time shop devoted to racecar performance and preparation in Bothell, Washington.
